Sales Associate

Merc423 in Bristol, TN is looking for one part time sales associate to join our team. 10-20 hours per week or more if wanted! We are located on 412 Pinnacle Pkwy Suite 257. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged person. Bonus points if you are interested in doing try-ons and social media for our store! This is the perfect position for a college student taking summer courses.

Schedule:

• Day Shift 10am-3pm
• Evening Shift 2pm-7pm
• Full Day Shift 10am-7pm or 10am-6pm
• Weekend Mid Shift 1pm-5pm
• Sunday 12pm-6pm

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering them assistance.
• Directs customers by escorting them to our products.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Use judgment to solve customer problems
• Maintains scheduling commitments
• Post daily on social media ie- Instagram stories/reels, Facebook & Instagram posts
• Help vendors restock
• Pull online orders for vendors
• Mail out customer orders
• Ensure the store is clean and in order

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Excellent verbal skills
• Able to problem solve as issues arise
• Must have current social media experience
• Must be willing to post Instagram reels and photos of themself on social media
• Have a reliable way to and from work
• Communicate with customers though social media messenger

Merc423 is made up of over 35 small businesses under one roof. We give these small businesses the opportunity to have a storefront location when in most cases they would not be able to have a brick and mortar location on their own. Merc423 specializes in woman's boutique clothing but also provides products like pet accessories, self care items, home goods, children's clothing and some food items like macarons and free dried candy. We take great pride at Merc423 to help our local entrepreneur grow their businesses and connect with the community. Our store has been at its current location at The Pinnacle since 2020. The store is beside of Great Clips, across from Duck Donuts.
