Job Description

We’re seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Healthcare Analytics to lead our analytics function. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of data scientists and analysts, overseeing key client projects, and driving innovation in our healthcare analytics solutions.

You’ll play a critical leadership role in translating complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and analytical thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare data and a passion for improving care through analytics.

Primary Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytics team
Oversee capacity planning and workload management
Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead client requirement sessions to understand analytical needs
Translate business questions into data-driven solutions
Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Analytics Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement innovative data science solutions to address healthcare challenges
Manage complex healthcare datasets including clinical registries, administrative data, and claims
Build and refine statistical models to drive clinical and operational improvements
Ensure the quality, accuracy, and impact of analytic deliverables

Innovation & Expertise

Stay current with the latest advancements in healthcare analytics and data science
Develop and implement new and improved data science solutions to address healthcare challenges
Build, validate, and refine statistical models to enhance data-driven decision-making

Individual Contributions

Manage and analyze large healthcare datasets, including clinical registries, administrative data, claims, and insurance records.
Perform statistical analysis and develop structured analytic plans.
Create efficient, reusable code for data manipulation and analysis.
Build and refine statistical models to improve healthcare outcomes and operational efficiency.
Diagnose, validate, and enhance model performance for accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Informatics, or related field preferred
4+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, with 2+ years in a leadership role
Deep understanding of healthcare data types (EHR, claims, clinical registries, etc.)
Proven experience managing analytic projects and teams
Strong communication skills and ability to present insights clearly
High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and integrity
Proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

This position is open to residents of the U.S. We are not currently accepting applicants in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington. The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000 USD annually.
