Summary:

The Regional Director of Human Resources is a key member of the People & Culture HR team and is responsible for planning, directing, and delivering Corporate and customized HR services that support regional objectives. The RDHR consults with key stakeholders and employees and provides recommendations on strategic HR solutions to improve critical business outcomes.

The RDHR is responsible for overseeing employee relations within their assigned regions and collaborating closely with the Talent Management Team to enhance performance management processes. This role requires a strategic leader who can foster a positive work environment, ensure compliance with employment laws, and drive initiatives that support talent and business objectives.

The RDHR directly reports to the SVP of Human Resources with a closely aligned day-to-day working relationship to the Talent Management team, regional field leadership and Corporate senior leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

General:

  • In partnership with the Regional Talent Management team, the RDHR contributes to and implements new People & Culture strategies for their assigned regions including but not limited to:
  • Strategic workforce planning quarterly reports
  • Reorganizations and realignments of staff
  • Onboarding and offboarding strategies
  • Subject matter expert to the region for all state/national human resource-related compliance, laws and legislations
  • Provides guidance and mentoring for managers on HR best practices
  • Consults and advise regional leadership on business decisions related to employees, leadership and management effectiveness
  • Assists in the deployment of HR-related systems and processes developed at the Corporate level
  • Serves as a trusted advisor, sounding board and liaison between the region and People and Culture teams to ensure Corporate support and best practices are aligned with regional needs
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for employees and leaders on HR-related issues and works with PAC team when escalation is necessary
  • Partner with regional leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring HR initiatives support organizational growth and development.
  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to regional leadership, using data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partners with the M&A Integrations team to provide support for the integration of newly acquired teams into the OneDigital ecosystem.
  • In partnership with the Sr. Director of HR Operations, assists in the mentorship and guidance of the HR Operations team and oversees administrative processes, operations services and procedures provided.

HR and Employee Relations:

  • Create and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring all parties are heard and respected.
  • Effectively receives and resolves escalated complex employee-related issues and applies proper interpretation and application of company policies and state/local employment laws; escalates to SVP, Human Resources and Legal as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations within the assigned regions, staying updated on changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
  • In partnership with the HR Compliance team, conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and legal requirements, identifying and addressing any areas of non-compliance.
  • Provide training to managers and employees on HR policies, legal requirements, and best practices to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, claims of misconduct and/or violations of the OneDigital Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Provides guidance, interpretation and compliance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Serves as an advocate and trusted resource for employees with sensitive and confidential personal information.
  • Reviews and analyzes employee trends and data (exit interviews, employee feedback, survey results) to identify any recurring people-related issues and provides recommendations to local and regional leadership and PAC team to address.
  • Oversees employee exit process by conducting risk analysis, exit interviews, termination meetings, and instructs Specialists for post-employment paperwork and offboarding administration to ensure smooth transitions.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, required, preferably in Human Resource management or related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience
  • Experience with the integration of teams via Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Experience with Workday software system, highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional HR designation (PHR or SHRM-CP), preferred

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $105,000 to $120,000 per year.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
