Mortgage Banker

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop and maintain a network of referral sources, including real estate agents, builders, financial professionals, and past clients.
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and the appropriate loan product.
• Collect and analyze required financial documentation, including income, assets, and credit information.
• Guide borrowers through the loan application and approval process from origination to closing.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, loan products, lending regulations, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies throughout the mortgage process.
• Work closely with underwriters, processors, and closing staff to ensure a smooth and timely closing.
• Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.  
• Active NMLS license in good standing. 
• Bachelor’s degree - Accounting, Business, and/or Finance is preferred
• Proven experience in mortgage sales, loan origination, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA, VA, USDA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
