Mammography Technologist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Explain exam procedures and answer questions.
• Ensure properly functioning equipment.
• High-quality digital mammography and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams.
• Evaluate the quality of images.
• Provide the physician with pertinent patient history.
• Document mammography procedures completed and process related paperwork.
• Maintain examination room, stock supplies and materials.
• Compile information and prepare reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program

EXPERIENCE:

• One or more years of experience as a Mammographer, including 3D mammography.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography
• Certification in Mammography
• DEXA Certification
• Vaid state license as a Radiographer
• CPR/BLS Certification
