Position Summary
This position will report to a designated site lead and will receive assigned tasks via a centralized Answers queue. While certifications are not required, candidates should possess basic IT skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn. Prior IT experience will be prioritized over formal education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of technology systems for end users
- Perform routine system maintenance and updates, assist with system customizations and changes, and maintain system disaster recovery procedures
- Facilitate the onboarding of new employees, including technology setup, computer delivery, and system access provisioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues; implement approved system changes and upgrades
- Perform preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks; monitor system performance and ensure accuracy
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify recurring issues
- Support manufacturing-related IT activities, including networking, manufacturing diagnostics/operations support (MDOS), shop floor triage, and general IT support
- Work with various types of technology including computers, handheld devices, and tablets
- Assist with wireless network setup and troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Basic IT skills required
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
- IT experience is strongly preferred and will be considered over formal education
