What You'll Do

Job Summary: The Construction Progress Validator specializing in piping fabrication and installation will be responsible for verifying the accuracy, quality, and progress of piping construction activities. This role requires solid construction experience and proficiency in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Review and validate piping fabrication and installation progress against project plans and P&IDs.
  • Inspect piping systems for quality, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Document verification results and provide clear reports to project management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the piping construction process.

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.  

Experience: This position requires a minimum 3 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.    

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven experience in construction with a focus on piping systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
  • Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
