Brick Color Correction Technician

General Shale, Inc., the nation’s leading manufacturer of clay brick products, is seeking a Brick Color Correction Technician based out of Johnson City, TN. Applicant must be reliable, able to work at least 40 hours a week, and capable of working independently. Additionally. The applicant must be comfortable with travel as most weeknights will be spent away from home. This is a full-time position Monday – Friday with the rare potential for weekends. Training will be provided if the applicant is not experienced in brick color correction.

Duties:

• Manage your time to complete jobs in the most efficient manner
• Effectively communicate with sales representatives and Engineering on job progress
• Fill and ship requests for stain
• Assist plant personnel with various tasks as required
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment

Experience:

• 1-3 years of light construction and/or exterior painting experience preferred

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (no suspensions)
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Must be comfortable with ladder work (up to 40 feet)
• Aptitude to mix stain to correct brick color.

Physical Demands:

• Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending.
• Must be able to work from ladders.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 85 lbs.
