Our account directors (ADs) build commercially successful relationships and bridges between our clients and our internal teams. We are actively searching for an experienced team player that can help us build successful relationships and game-changing digital solutions for our clients. A successful Account Director is:

A consultative seller and client guide.

As an Account Director, your primary focus will be on strategizing and growing existing accounts. You will manage relationships, offer technical expertise, and consistently deliver value. Collaborating with your clients, you will help them develop their annual digital budgets based on strategic initiatives that you and the account team identify and promote. Additionally, you will support Ntara’s New Business team in pursuing, qualifying, and closing new client accounts.

A leader.

As the primary point of contact for our mid- to enterprise-sized clients, you will play a crucial role in their success. Unlike many systems integrators, Ntara ensures that when an Account Director sells a project, they remain involved for the entire duration of the account. This allows you to build long-term relationships with clients and collaborate with a diverse team of digital experts. These experts include Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) specialists, e-commerce strategists, front- and back-end developers, business and data analysts, marketing campaign managers, copywriters, information architects, SEM/SEO practitioners, project managers, industry experts, and more. You will be supported by an experienced team, but you will lead the charge in servicing your accounts.

An excellent communicator.

One of our core philosophies is that a client’s interaction with Ntara should always be the highlight of their day, and the Account Director plays a crucial role in making this happen. Equally important are internal communications, as you will need to rally the team to success, whether it’s for a global product data project, a customer segmentation and research project, or an e-commerce implementation. Setting and managing client expectations are a critical part of this role.

Requirements

  • Systems integrator, digital agency, or client-side digital experience is REQUIRED
  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience in an account-facing, consultative role
  • Strong knowledge of digital ecosystem principles
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including previous experience writing contracts, requirements documentation, statements of work, or equivalent
  • Consultation skills—this means taking a lot of information from a lot of different sources, quickly making sense of it, and charting a path forward
  • Presentation skills—you need to be able lead the creation of presentations that express strategic ideas in a compelling way, and present it to C- and VP-level positions in various companies
  • Business development skills—working with senior management, you’ll need to be able to identify new business opportunities, qualify them, and close the deal
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
  • Must be a quick-study and have an appetite for continually learning new industries and processes
  • Must possess creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a sound business acumen
  • Must have a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude when working with clients. While Ntara offers well-documented professional services, clients often need custom solutions for their unique problems. You should be comfortable exploring, documenting, and selling innovative approaches alongside our established offerings.

Bonus Points - the ideal candidate will also have

  • Experience in or with the manufacturing or distribution sector (we serve major industrial and consumer brands that make physical goods)
  • B2B ecommerce experience (either platform selling and integrating, or client-side operations)
  • Product Information Management (PIM) experience
  • Digital Asset Management (DAM) experience

  • Multiple direct client interactions for enterprise customers
  • Internal meetings to help manage deliverables, resources, timelines, and communication for customers
  • Creatively working with clients to translate objectives into strategies
  • Interfacing with senior management to set priorities
  • Reporting on sales progress and forecasts

This is a remote position or could be based out of our HQ in Tennessee - your preference.  Please note our business operates in the Eastern Time Zone. You don't need to live there to work here, but we typically keep working hours in Eastern Time.
